Just for Love...June '24

The tiny sparks of magic that make your heart sing. That's what we're talking about. It's the little things that keep your vibration high and your creative juices flowing.
Here’s a list of the things we’re loving right now. Our chef’s kiss! We dig sharing the love as well, so let us know if there are things creating a melody in your soul and we’ll share out into the Sunshine & Pineapples world.
Most people found Jayne through the pandemic but she's been a top LA stylish for many years with the famous Edo Salon.
Jayne is pure rock 'n roll chick and I love her as much for her style inspo as her pure genius on the scissors.
Her soundtracks are to die for - 70's, 80's and a little 90's vibe and her artistry in carving out the shag and bangs rock goddesses live for is gold.
Jayne became famous for her bangs, shags and french bobs after she realised she was chemical sensitive and so unable to do all of those chemical treatments typical salons are full of. So much so she now offers classes on home haircuts that people are loving.
Look, after a few of my own 'bangtastrophies', when the ales were going down nicely and the hour was late, I don't really recommend doing your own hair. I will say though that no one cuts quite like Jayne so learning from the best might just be the next best thing.
Along the same theme, I have fully embraced the rock girl shag and bangs and I'm a bit obsessed with collecting the ultimate pics as inspo.
It's a classic style that never dates if you've got the right attitude so wear it sexy I say. You can't get it wrong and it looks it's best the morning after the night before.
Being an ink addict I've recently acquired a set of these little beauties in the brightest of bright colours.
Designed to withstand water exposure, these inks ensures that your artwork and documents remain intact and legible, even in the face of spills, or splashes.
The colours can be watered down to a wash or left bright and bold depending on your style.
  1. Green Peas
Listen this could seem like a weird one but I am fully digging the little green pea. Sweet, juicy, versatile. What more can I say.
I'm currently trying to get my full plant quotient in per day as the micronutrients really do up my energy levels. I've found my little friend, the pea, can be used as a base for many quick meals like veg and salmon bowls or chicken dishes where I might normally use rice. More plant power, more protein. Bang on!
I use them in my green smoothies, anywhere I would normally use rice or grains and I am deliciously hitting those targets with ease, my friends.
  1. The Chill in the Air
I usually have some seasonally triggered anxiety around this time of year but this year I'm armed and dangerous baby!
I came prepared and have hit the ground running with my focus squarely on loving myself up, moving my body, staying warm, eating good food and finding joy each and every day.
As a result, this is the first year that I'm kinda digging the coolness coming through. Heading down the beach with a little chill in the air is some kind of sparkly magic.
The trick is staying warm and comfy and our new Definisse Sweats are just the ticket.
